C.A.S.A. is Champaign County Court Appointed Special Advocate.A not-for-profit organization which recruits, trains and monitors volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA volunteers work through the juvenile court system to facilitate prompt delivery of services and make independent recommendations to the Court concerning the child's well-being.

In the Heart of Downtown Urbana

Ideally situated in the heart of downtown and seven blocks from the prestigious University of Illinois campus, Lincoln Square is within one block of City Hall, the Federal Courthouse, the new Champaign County Courthouse, and the Urbana Free Library.

The Village itself holds over 500 employees. Over 2,000 people work in downtown and the library is one of the busiest per capita in the country - averaging over 1,000 visits per day.

There are 80,913 people living within a 3-mile radius of Lincoln Square and 114,926 living within a 5-mile radius.

Within walking distance are the Urbana High School, with an enrollment of over 2,000, the University of Illinois, with an enrollment of 37,000, and Carle Clinic/Hospital which employs a staff of more than 4,000.

The largest farmer's market in Illinois gathers on the door step of Lincoln Square every Saturday in warmer months. Each week, the market attracts about 5,000 visitors who fill the shops and restaurants in Lincoln Square.

Lincoln Square is readily accessible from all points in Urbana-Champaign by car and public transportation, including one of the region's busiest bus lines direct from campus to Lincoln Square.
